Apps
-Khan Academy: This is my favorite educational app. This is an app that will teach each concept step by step. This app includes videos of each procedure and practice questions to apply the learned concepts.
-Quizlet: This app allows you to make your own flashcards and test yourself. You can also view others' flashcards if you want to share. This app is GREAT for English Learners as it will also read the words and definitions to you.
-7th Grade Math Learning Games: This app would typically be used for extra practice. It allows the player to earn coins through completing "lessons"--or practice questions-- so that they can play the arcade math games.
Websites -Khan Academy: The online version of the app! Includes videos and step by step procedures for solving problems as well as practice problems. www.khanacademy.org/math/pre-algebra
-Visual Math Learning: A website that is great for English Learners or any visual learners. This site includes lessons, practice problems and games. It included color coded vocabulary, voiceovers to hear the words spoken and images to accompany each example. www.visualmathlearning.com/pre_algebra/lessons.html
Fast Forward Math Glossary: This site is great for students that are struggling with vocabulary. If they want a better definition or to hear the word or definitions read to them, this site will provide both! www.hbschool.com/glossary/fast_forward_ca/index6.html
